The Student Athletics Advisory Board (SAAB) is a group of
student athletes chosen to represent all student athletes on campus.
The board meets two times a month giving us the chance to discuss issues
affecting sports and other related
topics. SAAB is committed to helping student athletes by listening to
their suggestions and taking action. With this ability we want to
improve the student-athlete experience, growth and education through sports
participation.
Functions of campus SAABs:
-
Promote communication between athletics administration and
student-athletes
-
Distribute information
-
Provide feedback and insight into athletics department
issues
-
Generate a student-athlete voice within the campus athletics
department formulation of policies
-
Building a sense of community in the athletics program
-
Organize community service efforts
-
Promoting a positive student-athlete image on campus
