Kappa Nu History

Welcome to Kappa Nu's Homepage! We are a chapter of Kappa Delta Phi National Affiliated Sorority, INC and also affiliated with our brothers Kappa Delta Phi, INC. We are 13 chapters strong for the sorority and are located throughout Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, New York, and Rhode Island.

Kappa Nu is located at Thomas College in Waterville, Maine. Our chapter was born in 1973 and later reactivated in 1985. We are a philanthropic organization and some of our activities have included: collecting can tabs for the Shiner’s hospital, a walk-a-thon for the local homeless shelter, can foods for the homeless, and a birthday service for on campus students.

Every year our sorority looks forward to going to our annual President/ Treasurer's Meeting, Summer Workshop and Convention. P/T takes place in the fall of each year and it gives us a chance to talk about national sorority business with all the other sisters and to socialize with the other sister chapters and brother chapters. Our annual convention consists of a business meeting in which we get to compete for awards and again socials with our sisters and brothers. P/T and Convention are the best times of the year.
