I have taken Ballet, Jazz and Cheerleading classes

Why I joined Thomas Dance Club:
I joined the belly dancing class to try a new style of dance which I had never taken before. I heard that belly dancing was suppose to tone your abs as well as other muscles and it sounded like a lot of fun. When I was in high school someone did a belly dancing routine at our school’s talent show. It was really interesting to watch and it made me want to try that style of dancing.

Why I joined the Thomas Dance Club: I've never really taken dance classes before. I originally joined because a girl across the hall couldn't find anyone to go with her and I thought I'd be nice and try it with her. I ended up liking it a lot and decided to keep going to the classes.

About Me:
I love to dance to romantic songs, but every once in a while I can get jiggy with it. I see it like this: Do I like to dance? Yes. So it really doesn’t matter how silly it comes out looking.

Dance Background:
I’ve been dancing since I was 6 years old. I currently take classes with Miss Heather at Stage Presence for Dancers in Winslow and here at TC with Holly. I have competed in Dance Olympus, receiving several first and second places with my team. I also auditioned to be one of Dance Olympus' VIP dancers--and made it!!

About me:
Besides my passion for dance, I love clothes! After two years of Thomas, I plan on going to FIT in New York to study fashion merchandising. Some other random things: I graduated 6th in my class from Erskine Academy, love Dunkin Donuts coffee, love to sleep, and I have a Yorkshire Terrier named Pixie.

Dance Background:
I danced with Miss Jodi at the Dance Connection in Fairfield, 7th -12th grade. This past summer I took Holly’s summer intensive class at the Kennebec Dance Centre in Augusta. I’ve also been to many Maine Dance Teachers’ Club weekend workshops and won a few medals. I was on the Dance Connection’s Competition Team during my last 3 years in High School. Being a part of the team I got the chance to compete at Star Systems and Dance America. In 2004 and 2006 our team was invited to represent Maine at the Dance Excellence International Dance Festival in Los Angeles, CA. We performed in Disneyland and at the Performance Boards we received a 2nd and 3rd place score. During my last year in High School I took Swing, Salsa, Fox Trot and Waltz lessons.
Why I joined the Thomas Dance Club:
I joined the Dance Club to meet people and to Dance of course!
