Any Additional Information
Dr. Turner has published many papers in refereed
journals, the most prestigious being a paper published in the Fibonacci Quarterly that introduces a random variable
for which the probabilities that it will take m Bernoulli trials to observe n success in a row are described.
He has held the titles of Assistant Professor
of Management (University of Akron), Associate Professor
of Finance and Management Science (Saint Mary's
University, Halifax) and is Emeritus Professor of
Applied Mathematics (Babson College). His book
Concepts in Finance
published by Babson College was the first based
entirely on a spreadsheet modeling approach to learning
concepts in personal finance. This book was still used
in required courses at Babson College for six years
after he retired from teaching at
Babson. He is currently on the board of directors for the Thomas College Institute and is
Guest Professor of Mathematics at Thomas College. He
consults locally on problems related to statistical
