Degrees: A.S. in Business, Medical Assistant Major, Thomas College B.S. in Business, Education Major, Thomas College M.Ed., Psychology Major, University of Maine, Orono
Teaching Philosophies: The backgrounds of the students add diversity and the need for tolerance in the classroom. Learning is enhanced by hearing how others perceive the information presented and the discovery that each new bit of knowledge provides a foundation for further learning. Encouraging students to use knowledge from the classroom makes the learning more relevant.
Personal Comments: Thomas College has become a significant part of my life because I first walked onto campus as a 17-year-old freshman. After all these years, it is still the people who make the institution--my fellow teachers and co-workers--but most of all the students. With the wrong attitude, they can make you old--with the right one, they are a fountain of youth!
