Unless specified all projects due are located In The Lab section at the end of each chapter.  Some projects require that you use the data from the project before----it is important to keep all your projects on disk and/or in your folder on the hard drive.

Grading Policy

Exams 40%

Application assignments  30%

Class presentation 10%

Class participation 20%

Collaboration in class is acceptable; however, working independently is valued and contributes toward the final grade.

Criteria and guidelines:

Powerpoint project should have eight slides sharing your interests and special events.  Points will be awarded for creativity, use of various PowerPoint tools, and delivery.

Exams will focus on hands on work in each application

Research paper on a relevant technology subject (containing graphs or charts) and presented via video clip or Power Point scheduled on final exam day.  Each area is worth 1/3:  content, use of technology, presentation.

.

Attendance Policy

Because a great deal of learning comes from class discussions and activities, students are encouraged to attend and participate in all class sessions.  At times an absence from class is unavoidable.  In order to accommodate such times, three absences are allowed without penalty.  Each absence thereafter will result in 2 points deducted from the final grade.

Dismissal from Course

Students who accumulate eight absences after the add/drop date will be dropped from the course.

Academic Dishonesty Policy

Copying work from other students or the Internet and using it as one’s own or cheating on an exam or quiz will result in a failing grade for the course.
