- In college I was on the Tennis Team, played JV Soccer, a madrigal singer, volunteered at a local community center, a Tour Guide/curator (feed/displayed animals, prepared specimens, took field
trips to Florida, Olkahoma/Kansas collecting specimens) and gave school group tours for the Joseph Moore Museum, worked at the Hayes Arboretum (research on Walnut trees) and at Conner Prairie Museum
(a tour guide at this "living museum") and traveled to Eastern Europe in 1968.
- Author: NASSP Bulletin in February of 1979 entitled, "An Instructional Program for Dropouts."
- Professionally: I taught 7th grade science and became an Alternative School Teaching Principal in Ohio and Indiana. Then I returned to Maine as a Principal of a Junior High and later became
an Assistant Principal at several High Schools. From there I went into College Admissions. Later I worked in private schools as Director of Admissions and Dean of the school. Recently,
I have been working in Special Education as a Behavioral Teacher. I have had about 15 years of teaching experience and 24 years of administrative work.
- I have played my baritone sax, alto sax, clarinet or base clarinet in several local community bands for over ten years. I have also sung in a community chorus.
- I have directed tennis programs at two boy's camps, taught professionally at the local Tennis Club, have coached tennis at private and public schools for over ten years and play locally
in men's leagues and USTA events. I have been the Head Men's Tennis Coach at Thomas since 2005. I have also coached gymnastics, down hill skiing and soccer.
