His books include biology texts and books on careers in science, the privatization of social services, entrepreneurs, and consultants. His latest texts are Taking Sides: Clashing Views on Controversial Issues in Science, Technology, and Society (McGraw-Hill, 8th ed., 2008), Taking Sides: Clashing Views on Controversial Environmental Issues (McGraw-Hill, 13th ed., 2009), and Classic Editions Sources: Environmental Studies (McGraw-Hill, 3rd ed., 2009).
