Degrees:

• Graduated from Fairfield University in Connecticut with a BS in Accounting.
• Currently finishing my last class toward my Masters in Business Administration (MBA) at Southern New Hampshire University in Brunswick Maine.

 

Work Experience

• Seventeen years working for a large insurance company in Massachusetts in various management positions within the computer applications and support department.
• Eight years experience teaching at Mid-State College, Andover College, University of Maine and Kennebec Valley Community College. 
• In addition to teaching I am involved in our family business handling the accounting and financial aspects.  Our family owns several convenience stores, including College Quik Stop, just down the street from Thomas.

 

Teaching Philosophy

Eight years ago I left the rat race of corporate America and embarked on a new career, teaching accounting and computer courses at the college level.  My primary goal is for the students to learn the skills necessary to be successful and productive in the workplace.  I find that a well-planned and structured class facilitates the learning process.  I strive to present the material using a very logical step-by-step approach, consistently building and expanding upon prior concepts. Learning is a life long process and it should be enjoyable for both the students and teacher.  I strive for a classroom atmosphere that embraces this concept.  I encourage an environment of respect and support in the classroom
