Teaching Philosophies:
There are two kinds of knowledge, book & practical. The book
knowledge can be gained by rote learning, while the practical knowledge comes from "walking the walk" or being
able to pick someone's brain who has "walked the walk".
Students need both types of knowledge, but I personally feel that practical knowledge is far more important than book knowledge,
especially in the IT (Information Technology) world.
I hope to bring my 11+ years of work in Information Technology, my last 6 taking on the role as a Director of Information
Technology, to the classroom and give my students a realistic outlook of what goes on in the IT world.
Personal Comments:
I believe that Thomas has a huge asset in its faculty. They are supportive,
knowledgeable, and most of all, care about the students. At Thomas you are a name
and not a number.
I feel honored to be able to come back and teach with the professors that I found
extremely helpful and supportive during my four years at Thomas.
